Firstly, I did hear about the really big guy, because I guess he had a lot of faith in Jesucristo, so he was a total hero.(Last week, the former record holder for the world's heaviest man died in Monterrey.) And I do have things to say, so don't worry. I will start off sending you pictures!
And since a picture is worth a thousand words I will talk to you next week. Bye! (At this point, he closed the email, but sent another one.)
Okay, so first of all, that guy's name in the pictures is Javier, and I'm not sure if I have told you about him or not, but he has been investigating the church for the last 6 months, but never really felt ready to get baptized until very recently. Then we were here, and we helped him and got him animated to stop smoking, and he got baptized on Saturday and confirmed yesterday. I think the coolest part about this story is that the Lord prepared him, and he got baptized when the time was right. Because when we got there, and we invited him (to baptism) he talked about the way that he had really already made up the decision to do it earlier that week. Which was cool, because a few weeks earlier, he still wanted to wait. So that was super cool. and to comment on you email comments. (just picking out a few things.) I do eat guacamole. I thought mole was aweful the first time I ate it, but after that I have come to enjoy it. I made my comments based on the fact that I have a hard time getting along very well with Dominicans. I think their culture is about as opposite my personality as possible, seriously. So it is a little rough every once in a while, but we deal with it. Yes, the word for mason is mason, but said with a Spanish pronunciation. But people always ask what my name means in Spanish, and then my companions have always been there to say it in Spanish and help them understand. And things have been really great here ever since the new elders got here. Not for anything they've done, I don't think, but just for the purposes of the Lord. Who knows why, but everything is good and happy now. I hope you are satisfied with the letter, because I feel like I just blurted everything out so there is a lot of information, but not a lot of stuff, so I hope that makes you happy enough. You can ask me any questions, and I will talk to you next Monday. I hope you guys have a good time finishing school and a great week in general. I love you all. Bye!
