Goats Walking Around- Hidalgo- Week 1

Okay, I'm in Hidalgo a pueblo north of Monterrey. about an hour north in a bus. It is a branch that pulled in a whopping 10 people to watch the Sunday morning session of General Conference. And I guess they have been averaging 15 people the last few weeks in the sacrament meeting. So, there is a lot of work to be done. That, I guess is why they sent me here to be with another experienced missionary, Elder Cluff, with 20 months in the mission. We are here to save the branch I guess. It's going to be super awesome. We do have some people that we are teaching that seem super interested, and things look pretty good. So, it is a rural place. There are plenty of goats walking around, and it isn't rare to walk through the desert for 20-30 minutes without seeing anybody. It is a very special place, and I'm sure I will learn a lot here. I really like it, and I am getting a long really, really well with Elder Cluff. Fun fact, he was in my zone when I was born, and his is my brother Elder Jensen´s dad, so he is my uncle, and now we are up here hanging out and being awesome.
So, something super awesome about this week was that we were super focused on General Conference this week. We invited everybody we talked to, and that really helped me see the importance of doing the things that the prophets say. When those guys are talking, it is stuff that we really need to know, so it is a huge blessing that we can hear them, and then read them and have them in our lives. And I love the way you said you were going to talk about Preach My Gospel in the letters. When Elder Ballard said that I was like Wow, what a great idea, because that book is really amazing.
And, it sounds like you guys have been having a really busy week, with lots of craziness in the ward and all sorts of other things. I am excited that we are going to have a Spanish speaking ward when I get home, that will be fun. (He is referring to all of the missionaries that have been called from our ward that are in Spanish speaking missions.) And I'm glad Lily and Maddie are so involved in their activities and are enjoying themselves. I hope they continue to have all of their fun and be successful and all of those good things. I love you guys, and I'm super glad that you enjoyed General Conference, as well as I did, and I hope that we can all apply the things we learn, because someone said that that is why we have all of this technology, and if we don't use it well, it is really sad. I hope you all have super awesome weeks! I love all of you a ton and will talk to you again Monday!!!!!
