Wow, I'm glad you guys had a great stake conference. That honestly sounds really boring though about all 23 missionaries in the stake getting up and talking. But that is also weird that those missionaries seem to not have things to do. We always have a ton of stuff to do. There are plenty of people who listen to us (The hard part is getting them to actually do something), and then there are millions and millions of less active people that we can go visit. Even though we are here in this little pueble, there are almost 500 members on the list, and this week we had a whopping 7 of those members show up for church. But don't worry, there were a total of 12 people there. There was an 8 year-old girl who isn't baptised who came in alone (her member parents walked her there but didn't stay), then S, who I have told you a little bit about, and this kid, R, that just showed up to our "Minute to Win It" party on Saturday, and then came to church yesterday. But he is really weird. He says he has seizures sometimes, and he asked my companion for 100 pesos, and he tried to drink all the water in the whole church, so we will have to see how that works out. And then Elder Cluff and I completed the 12.
So, the biggest thing this week was the "Minute to Win It" activity, we did it because the ward completed the goal of 500 Book of Mormon chapters, and we gave them a party. It was really fun. And there were 26 people there. We made a lot of games, and everybody had a great time, and I hope that someday they will remember their fun time, and then really come to church. We also had a really awesome English class. And we had 8, including 2 members. B, the recently called and even more recently inactive Young Women's president, came with her son, J, and that was really happy. Because we have been working with her a lot, but she is too afraid to go teach the GIANT class of 2 young women. But she went to English classes, so maybe that was a step in right direction.
And so, we are having a lot of ridiculously awesome activities, but sometimes nobody goes to church, and that is enough to make you say HIJOLE!!!! which is my new favorite Spanish word to say. Because there is this guy named DE, who is old, and hardly walks and is pretty blind, but he drives around in his truck when it works, but the radiator hose keeps breaking off, but he just keeps trucking. And he has a swastika quilt on his bed. We are pretty sure he doesn't know what it means, and he is really nice,.and he always says HIJOLE in a really funny way.
And so, we are having fun here in Hidalgo and hoping that everything will be a little bit better in 2 weeks when 2 more missionaries are going to come!!!!!! So, everything is super awesome, and Life is good. I hope you apply your awesome stake conference stuff, and don't be afraid to invite people to church. The people can still feel good there and feel the spirit, even if church is ever super awkward. Por ejemplo, S came back, even though there were only 16 people in church last week, and he still felt good when there were 12 this week, so no fear, the church is still true. I love you all. Bye!!!!!!
