So yeah, the weather has been pretty bad and cold here. And that stuff about the food and the way stuff is called is totally true. It is totally possible that after my mission we go on vacations, and I try to speak Spanish and it just doesn't work. But here isn't really dangerous. I guess a few years ago it was, but now everything is okay again. That is a really cool conversion story, and that does sound like a crazy busy weekend you will have. Our last week has been a little crazy too, because the zone leaders (we share the branch with them) have been sleeping in our apartment all week because their apartment is too humid and bad. So it has been really fun, but it somehow makes us have a lot less time. And about false idols- I'm sure all of you will be fine, because the people here literally worship false idols. They don't just spend to much time doing other things. But you shouldn't do the US equivalent of worshiping false Idols.
Ummmm in other fun news I'm half way done with my time with Elder Slater. We are going to get changes tonight, but probably nothing will change so I will still be here in La Estanzuela. But everything is going pretty well with all of this. Elder Slater and I are getting along really well and doing a lot better at everything. He has learned a lot and now we can work together more effectively, and we are just about the best missionaries ever. I'm sure will get to that point at the end of another six weeks. But it feels weird that I am going to stay with the same person for more than six weeks and that I'm still going to be in the same place and everything. It makes me think it will be weird when I go home and live with people for more than six weeks and always live in the same place. I'm not sure I can do it. But this area is pretty cool. And It has actually been down right cold these last few days. And when it gets really cold here the missionary work actually suffers. For example, people don't let us inside when we contact because it is cold and they don't want to open the door. Also, there were a ton of people that didn't go to church this Sunday because it was too cold. Which is ridiculous. So you guys just all keep going to church, even when it is cold outside. Because for these people it really is hard. There isn't a ton of insulation in a cinder block house up at the top of a mountain and when you are inside the cloud and gaps between walls and doors or the roof let all the cold air enter and there isn't even a chance of warm water up there, I cant imagine how rough that would be. So It should just give us more reason to be thankful for all of the things we have. But I don't want to try to planch you on gratitude or anything. I just hope you have a fun thanksgiving and watch a football game for me (and let me now how it goes, or how football in general is going, you know if you want) and just enjoy all your family time.
So just have fun and keep being good and doing good things and being good church members. Because good church members are awesome. And like one of my companions told the ward mission leader this week "if the members don't do their visits they are going to hell." So on that bright and cheery note, I will see you next week, so go eat some turkey and be happy!!!!! I love You alllll!!!!
