Halloween- Estanzuela- Week 3

Okay. Hi, family, I don't have a ton of time right now, because we got here fairly late. We went to the temple today (new movie!!!!), and then we had an activity, where we ate food and played basketball, and then we washed our clothes, and that was the whole P-day. Now we got all wet coming to the ciber to write you a short message. Everything is going well. Things are crazy, and we never have any time for anything, because we are always running around busy, which is good but a little stressful from time to time. And campechanas are neither of those things. They are a type of taco. It is served in a large flour tortilla and has 2 types of meat- bistec (steak) and carne de trompo, which is a type of pork I think. They usually have cheese on them, too, and you can add onions and salsa, and this little other stuff that I have no idea what it is, but it is sweet. They are delicious and are a type of street food. Also Halloween was pretty crazy, and there were just a bunch of little kids running around yelling, "Halloween!" in place of "trick or treat." So that is really weird, and there was an increase of drunk people over those days, too. Because there was also some sort of pagan festival to honor St. Jude. St Jude or San Judas is really big here. Almost bigger than the Virgin Mary, which is saying something. Even though nobody knows who he is. The full thing is San Judas Tadeo, which leads me to believe it is one of the 12 original apostles of Jesus, (not Iscariot) but there is also a Jude, brother of Jesus that it could be, but half of the people think it is the guy that betrayed Jesus, but they all pray to him just the same. It is total apostasy, but it is interesting. I am learning a lot here, because I have to learn a ton, because Elder Slater and I have no idea how to do things, so we have to figure it out and are learning a ton. I hope you guys are having fun too, and I will see you later. I love you BYE!!
