It looks and sounds like you guys had a ton of fun in McCall this year. I'm not entirely sure about Maddie's MTV tank top thing, but whatever. Just kidding. I hope you are going to go on and have more great summer time.
Life has been pretty good here in Monterrey. We had a pretty busy week last week, it was really good. We have had progress with this investigator that we call D.J.. He is super Christian. He actually has a really long story that I don't know all the way. He was an orphan at some point and was partially raised by a Baptist preacher for a good number of years. But then he was totally disillusioned, because this preacher didn't approve of him marrying the girl he wanted to marry. So that ruined that church, and then he has been to a few others, but now he just focuses on the Bible and the understanding he gets from that. But he tends to be really focused on what other people do, like members of the church who are rude or Bible characters who get wasted all the time. So, he talks to us a lot but sometimes just wants to contend, which can be a problem but we can talk alright and he really has accepted a lot of our doctrine. Like the stuff about the fall. Which, by the way, is one of the most unique doctrines that we have. He has read the Book of Mormon and is going through it again now, and the Pearl too. He says he likes Abraham a lot. And we have been visiting him a lot in my time here, and there are a lot of times when I think we might just be wasting our time with him, and other times when he says he will get baptised if my companion drinks a caguama (large bottle of beer). But the other day he said he would get baptised in 2 weeks if my comp would be more Christlike, in terms of meekness humbleness and kindness. And yesterday he told us he was going to get baptised, because he thinks it is the only way that he can really change. He drinks and smokes, and even though he reasons that it's okay because he doesn't hurt anyone, he wants to stop deep down. Soooo, we will have to see how that works out, because I don't count chickens before they hatch.
We went to the temple today, and then went to Wendys, and I ate a frosty for the second time in Mexico. That was pretty nice. So I hope that you all have a good week and keep up with the good summer time. I love you all. BYE!!!!
