It's true what you said about the gospel being a very precious gift. We are working with somebody that is named S. I might have told you about her before, she has had a really, really hard life. I couldn't even tell you some of the things she has been through, and her life continues being a struggle, as her husband holds a mild opposition to her listening to us and her suegra- mother-in-law, I think, in English, a less active member by coincidence, hates her and makes her life sad. It is really rough, because she probably won't actually ever be able to get married, because she is currently juntada, (There isn't really a word for that in English, but it means that she lives together, almost like they are married, but they aren't) with the cousin of her mom so, while I'm not a Mexican law expert, but people tell me that that can't be done. So, she would have to leave her husband and be alone with her 1 year old child to be able to be baptized. So, it is going to be hard to keep working with her, but we cant really leave her alone. She needs the gospel too much, and here's a super cool story. Her kid was going to have surgery last Sunday, and they went to the hospital, and she says the whole way in the bus she was praying and asking God so that they wouldn't have to operate on her kid, and she said she promised God something. When they got to the hospital, they were getting all ready for the surgery and they had the kid all undressed and everything, and she asked the doctors to check one more time and they did..... and he didn't need the surgery, the problem was all better. And the promise that she made was that she would go to church, and yesterday she went to church and really liked it. So we are going to see how all that works out. I asked for President's advice about what to do with her, because I have no idea.
Apart from her we have a couple named N and F that we are working with. They are awesome and have been two church the last 2 weeks and they seem up and ready for baptism, but need to get married first, so we are going to be helping them with that in this week. I will keep you posted on their progress.
E and M, hmmm....... well, we haven't seen them this last week, because the last time we saw them was Friday, I believe. We talked about church, and they weren't going to go, and we felt like they didn't understand the importance of all of this, so we gave them a little time. Because if we back off from the people a little they seem to understand the importance of doing the things we invite them to do a little more. So we are actually going to see them at about 7:30 Monterrey time, because E found us and asked why we hadn't been by and wanted to know when we were going to be able to pass by, so I will keep you updated on that too.
And now I have a question, is there something in the United States called Whatsup? or something like that? It is a social network and apparently Facebook bought it this last week. I had never heard of it before, and I want to know if it was born after I left and has now died, and I will never have the opportunity to use the thing or maybe its just a Mexico thing. I have no idea.
Mmmmmm..... I don't have a whole lot more to say, just that the gospel is something that we need in every aspect of our lives. It doesn't just apply on Sundays; it applies to every decision that we make. We need to think about eternal consequences and Christlike attributes, patience, humility or charity. Because if we focus on this stuff, its gonna help us in every aspect of our lives. So let's be really converted to the gospel and understand the importance of this. It's the way to find peace in this life and eternal life in the world to come. So, we have to study it and seek to have the Lord enlighten our minds, and we are going to get it a whole lot clearer and be able to apply it more. I love you guys and hope that you all have a good time, and, as I often say joking here, "Tengan fe!!" (Have faith!) I will talk to you all next Monday okay? Bye!!!!!!!!
