SO, We are still working with my alchemist friend, E, and his wife M. And do you want to know something funny. Last week the 2nd of Feb, they went to church, but she was embarrassed and didn't want to go in, so they didn't actually go in :( but then we were talking with E later, and he says he was standing there between the temple and the church, and he could feel a calm harmonious type of energy coming from the church building, but he felt a stronger higher order of energy coming form the temple. So that is either total apostasy or a pretty cool thing, huh? And this week we had a super awesome spiritual experience with M, and it was cool, and she felt the spirit and everything, but they didn't go to church this week, because here mom was super sick, and it super bummed me out. :( but it is okay, don't worry. We will see how they go this week.
We also are teaching somebody named S, who really wants to learn about the church and everything and is excited about reading the Book of Mormon, and it is super awesome, but her husband is married to somebody else. So that is a problem, because the divorce process takes a while. But it actually might go a lot faster because, and this is a crazy coincidence, the ex wife/still legal wife of N (current pareja (partner) of S) is being taught by the other missionaries in the branch!!! It is super weird. So they are teaching D and L, and we are teaching S and N, and N and D are married, and so now they are all mixed up. The law of chastity and The Family: a Proclamation to the World have been themes of this week. We shared them with some less actives too, because this less active kid, 19 named C said that he was going to add on to the house in case he wants to juntar with his novia (get together with his fiancee), so we explained to him and his 17 year old sister that that was bad. And we are also teaching somebody named C and her husband is M, or something like that. And C is really excited and everything super awesome, but her esposo (husband) is something we call a tapon (stopper). I'm not sure if that really means anything in Spanish, but in missionary it means that he is stopping her progress. But on Saturday we saw him helping subir (move up) some cinder blocks, and we helped him, and at first he thought we weren't going to be able to do it, and then we did it and he respected us, so now we are going to be able to teach is wife better. It is going to be super awesome. So ya, I carried cinder blocks up a mountain dressed in missionary clothes. But I can only carry 2 at a time, the people that do it like pros carry 3, 2 on the shoulder and on in the other hand. But I didn't have the hand strength to carry the 3rd block. I tried it once, just to be cool like them, but cinder blocks are heavy, and I struggled not to drop the block and break it. But we helped people, and it made them more receptive to the gospel. Soo maybe we can all learn something from that. I wrote all of that pretty quick, because there was quite a bit of info I wanted to get across, but I hope it all made sense. I love you guys and hope that you live long and prosper and share the gospel, because there are some cool scriptures in D&C 84 that say we are Jesus' friends if we preach the gospel to lets go be friends with Him!!!!!!!! Love you all BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here was part of my letter to Mason this week:
We have been watching the Olympics this weekend. Did you know that there is only one athlete at the Winter Olympics from Mexico? Here is something that I read about him "The slalom skier – who is Mexico's sole competitor in these Games – has represented Mexico in six Olympic Games. He's also a 55 year old German prince whose grandfather, Kaiser Franz II, was the last Holy Roman emperor. He is fluent in five languages, palled around with Andy Warhol, is the heir to an automobile fortune and will be the second-oldest winter Olympian in history when he hits the Sochi slopes in his mariachi-inspired uniform." I guess he was born in Mexico because his family wanted to have one Mexican family member. His father introduced Volkswagon to Mexico and he skied in an Mexican bandido outfit in the last Olympics. So, we totally think that is hilarious. I'm thinking that the winter olympics are not a big thing in Mexico?
