Centipedes and Mole (Not the Rodent)- La Fama- Week 7

I'm sorry, but I read that Spanish in my head with the most gringo accent you could even imagine. I couldn't even describe it, and I didn't even realize I was doing it until I was half way through. Sorry, but that is the way it happened. (He is referring to my attempt to write a few sentences in Spanish in my letter to him. Mean!)
I'm glad you liked the picture from Sister Sanchez. Sorry I dont send pictures, but I am kind of afraid, because there are some cibers that when you plug anything in, they erase everything you have and replace it with pornography, and I've heard enough stories that I don't totally want to plug in my memory card. So I'm sorry if that is super disappointing, but that is the way it is. I don't take very cool pictures anyway, and I hardly have any of me, so I don't think you would really enjoy them. But anyway, That was in the bus station. My new companion is Elder Diaz from Uruguay. He has 20 months in his mission. I don't really know what else to tell about him. Except that he either is the coolest guy as part of the coolest family ever, or he is deeply confused about what has happened in his life. He tells stories that are just impossible. For example, his brother tried out for the Uruguay air force, (who knew they had one, right?) and set the high score on the official simulator thing, but then the evil council of Uruguan generals set the impossible task or simulated flight to some number of meters, and he wasnt able to do it. (Like a simulated flight to test his physical ability to withstand that kind of stuff) And he was later told that he was set up to fail because the general knew he was going to take his job. And later in the story, he went to a party with the daughter of a colonel and put all of the pilots to shame because he had some fancy recognition that none of them had, and he wasn't even in the military. He also has a slight obsession with masonry (not in the practice of it or anything, just talking), learned chess from the third best chess player in Uruguay (I still beat him, but he just pretended he was teaching me something), and can eat three kilos of meat by himself (which actually might be true). But for all I know, that might all be true, because I hear that the president of Uruguay drives a Volkswagen Beetle, (which is called a bocho here) and still works as a mechanic. So ya, it sounds like a weird little place, but I like being with Elder Diaz, so everything is cool.
About pants, I could probably wear a smaller size, but these are all still fitting okay, so everything is cool. And I have actually started eating more now. Now I actually enjoy some of the food, just about all of it really, even mole. Molay, not the little rodent. It is weird tasting, and it upsets the stomachs of a lot of people, but i like it really. And flan was way better the second time around. I have actually started working out in the mornings more, because we have this really cool weight in our backyard that cosists of a metal pole and two cans full of cement. In other news, I think my centipedes killed count is up to four. Centipedes are really freaky.
As far as missionary work goes, we found this lady, Lourdes, and her granddaughter, Devany. A member gave us them as a reference, but one day we walked by their house, and she called to us and started out by saying that she was Catholic, but she wanted us to teach her grandkids because her kids are looser alcholic drugies that don't do anything. But she seems pretty interested, too. It proved something Brother Horsley said once, that the word ´¨but¨´ means you can forget about whatever just came before in the sentence. They didn't make it to church yesterday, because Lourdes is diabetic and felt really bad on Sunday. I know that as I type that you won't believe it, but it is true, and she wasnt lying to us, because a lot of people do, so we have kind of figured it out. I think the coolest thing is that she realized that if she wanted something to change, she wouldhave to change too and not just have us teach the granddaughter. So that is pretty cool.
Alright, I hope that will be enough to get you through the next little while until we talk again. Sorry about the lack of pictures, but you can see them all in about a year and a half, and it will be more enjoyable then. I love you all, and hope that everything is awesome in Las Vegas. And if Lily doesn't pick up soccer there, you can send her down here and I'm sure she would learn really fast. Even though from what I understand the U.S. team is doing a lot better than Mexico is, making it to the World Cup at this point. I love you guys all a lot and hope that you are all awesome! Talk to you later!!!
Love, Mason
Note from Michelle:
Here are some pictures that I saw on Facebook that his former branch president's wife had posted. They all saw each other at the bus station on transfer day.
