Holy Cow, That's a Lot of Stuff!- Real de Palmas- Week 8

Holy cow, that is a lot of stuff! I'm glad that Dad is safe from his deer incident, and I realized that The Tour (de France) was going to start soon, but I forgot it would be the 100th. You'll have to give me little updates about who is winning all the stages and who is winning and who is going to win and all of that good stuff. Thanks for the Paula Deen news because this is funny, Nelson Mandela isn't quite as funny, and we were able to keep up on the NBA finals; enough people have the TV on that you just see what's going on. We also learned that Tim Tebow is on the Patriots now, so I don't know how you left that news out.
I'm fine here. I really started to like the whole bike riding thing, and that makes even the sort of iffy days fun. My companion isn't liking it as much though; he blew up one of his tires putting too much air in, and now his chain falls off all the time. Neither of them change gears or anything cool like that, but mine still has the derailer I think it's called and his doesn't. My bike is the best and the coolest. Juana didn't get baptized because this week was crazy, and we just weren't gunna make it work, but we have her down for the 4th of July. Did you guys go to the broadcast last night? If you didn't, you should go and find it and watch it, because one, it was good and tells you to go help the missionaries and two, we have a prophet and we should always listen too him, because last night I contacted a guy on a bus, and at one point I asked him if he would like to listen to somebody that could talk directly to God like Moses or Noah, and he asked if I meant a chapter of the Bible, and I told him that there is a man living on earth right now that communicates directly with God, and he was shocked! So don't take all this stuff for granted, because it is pretty awesome and a lot of people can't even imagine it.
I don't know what else to say, because we just wrote on Wednesday, and I feel like no time at all has passed since then. That's the thing when you say I have seven eights of my mission left, it sounds like a ton but if i had to do the last 3 months 7 times that isn't so bad, so I guess I just won't look at it too much, because it will pass faster.
We played soccer today or futbal or even fut and it was fun. I haven't actually played very much since I've been here, but I was a lot better today than I was in the MTC, so there must just be something in the air or water or something. But ya look out, cuz when I get back I'm going to be playing like Messi. I'm pretty excited that I will be here during the World Cup. Because these people love fut, and it is pretty cool. I'm going to send another email with the pictures attached right now so I'll write more in a second.

These are of the temple when we got there at like 5:45 in the morning.

These are of a building I saw on the way back from the temple. The second one is a big orange rectagle- I don't really know what's going on with that. The third is my bike, the black one- it is the best thing ever, the orange one is my companion's, and it isn't as cool- just kidding!

Ok, this is it for the week. Make sure you don't let birds poop on Lily, because that would be gross. That was just something I had to make sure to tell you, because otherwise you might not know. I still love all of you, and I hope that you are all having fun, and I hope that you guys will all be safe and that deer wont hit you. But don't worry about me or anything, because the other day I read Alma 26 or 27 or something, and it is awesome. You should all go and read it. Also, there is a scripture in Luke 14 that says you can't be a disciple of Christ unless you hate your family. And I don't hate you guys, but I just realized this week for that people to really be converted they need to want it more than anything else. And most people don't, but a mission is a great opportunity to be really converted, because at this point I have left my family for two years to be a disciple of Christ, too. I might not hate you all the time, but just a little right now, this is all a little bit of a joke, so I need you to not be offended. And also don't tell anybody about that Alma chapter, because I am basically planning on reading that at my homecoming talk, so you can't use it too much before then. But there it is. That's the weekly report, and I'm Seth Myers. Great, now you've got me remembering SNL, and I can't really remember it. But I love you guys, and I will be home watching SNL with you guys in no time.
Love, Mason
