Well, I'm glad that you didn't cry after or during the phone call, because my comp's mom cried all during the thing and I imagine that she kept it up afterwards, too. This week was weird, it was hard to find people to talk to, because they all want to have super happy holiday times and not talk to missionaries. But it was still cool, because we talked to our families.
This Sunday I gave a talk in sacrament meeting about New Years and how we can apply all of the good things that we have though Jesus now that we have remembered his birth so much. I talked about repentance and how New Year's resolutions can help us apply The Atonement and more fully receive the blessings thereof. It wasn't super well prepared, but the bishop said he liked it. Probably because I told people to repent, and that is what he is all about, planching people.
In other big news.... let's see, my companion might have an ingrown toe nail, so that is lame, but I'm glad it has never happened to me. We have been passing a little more time, due to the difficulty of trying to find other people, with an anarchist crazy man named D. He is a member, and it is interesting to talk to him. Lots of excuses and too many abstract and negative thoughts that don't allow him to really accomplish good things.
So.... that is just about all that has been going on. There hasn't been a lot of time since our phone call, so you can't yell at me too much.
Have a great new year and repent. It's like I told the ward here, Repentance isn't a bad word, and it isn't just some thing that old profets yelled to the disobedient, soon to be destroyed. It is a blessing. It means we can get better, stop messing up, and do better things, and be happier, so repent! :) It's fun, okay? Have a Happy New Year!!!! I love you all!!!!!!!
