I'm Probably Going to Win an Academy Award- Hidalgo- Week 6

Firstly, people in Mexico do not run or exercise very often. And for our Mother's Day activity, we played more "minute to win it" games. Some new ones and some of the same ones. Mexican people really love that show, and it is super easy to play and organize, and you can adapt the difficulty of the games to the point that anyone can play them. We had a mentally handicapped kid there that really enjoyed himself, too.
And later we helped the young women put on a play that they made up about a mom who had one mean daughter and one nice daughter. And the mean daughter yells at her mom so much and then the good daughter finds these lab reports about how the mom is going to die and it is all the bad daughter's fault and they are so sad and then the mom dies. The message is that we need to value what we have (our mothers) because we never know when we might lose them. So, it was sad and doesn't really make a ton of sense, but the young women liked it and the moms liked it, and I'm probably going to win an Academy Award for directing it so well, so it was pretty fun.
I will definitely check out that talk, so that I can help S. more, or so that the other elders can. I might not teach him more after today, because we will divide the area. And good job on reading the Book of Mormon. In our branch, we are trying to make it to 500 chapters again to have another party, and so far we are at 13. I read 7 last week, and 2 other branch members combined for 6, including the ex-branch president, who shared his happiness about learning about the waters of Mormon. Because we talked about Abinadi two weeks ago, and he went home and read Mosiah 17, where Abinadi dies, and later read Mosiah 18, about how Alma baptized people, and he was very excited that he had learned those awesome things. It was kind of funny, but also cool, because we had helped somebody study and have something meaningful for them.
I this week read the end of 2 Nefi and the beginning of Jacob, and I like how Jacob 1 talks about Jacob and the command to preach that Nefi gave him. It was really cool, and it helped me to see a little more of my calling as a missionary, and I think it is something that can help anybody magnify any calling, because that is what the chapter is all about. Then Jacob planches everybody in chapter 2, so that's fun, too.
Well, I hope you are satisfied with the letter and that you liked and could access the pictures. I will talk to you again next Monday, and let you know who my new companions here in Hidalgo are! Love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are 4 pictures. One is of the swastika quilt. Another is of an English class poster that I made. Another is of the Young Women's activity where we made chorizo, and the other is of a tree that we made based on a General Conference quote. I would be very impressed if you remembered it. It is rather obscure. But I hope you like those awesome pictures!
